New on the block

Posted Wednesday | Comments 0
Hey everyone. I've been following Hockeybuzz for a little while now (used to be mostly on trade deadline days, or weeks leading up to it), but I now find myself visiting at least 3-5 times daily. Let me introduce myself. My name is Jeremy, and I'm a 29 year old male living in Edmonton, and as most people, I'm a homer. I love the Oilers. Always have, always will. I f...

Leafs Looking for Defenseman?

Posted Monday | Comments 0
It's no secret the Toronto Maple Leafs have got a lot thinner on the blue line in the past couple of weeks, shipping out Francois Beauchemin and fan favourite Tomas Kaberle. Beauchemin's value has turned out to be quite good for Toronto, as Lupul has made his presence known on the top line alongside Phil Kessel (assists on Kessel's last four goals). The Leafs can also look...

The Early Bird Rises

It's 6:15 am out here on the west coast, and I'm sitting here with a cup of tea glued to the television flicking channels between Sportsnet and TSN...not much going on so far. But, there have been some key signings over the last couple of days, with Brent Seabrook staying with the Chicago Blackhawks re-signing for 5 years and Chris Phillips is staying in Ottawa re-signing ...
Rumour is that Seabrook will be in the Hawks' lineup tonight. With two players coming off concussion I am sure we all know what the Canucks' game plan will be. Game 3 - Torres went directly after Sea...

Sorry for not getting a blog up sooner as I had expected to yesterday at some point. Christmas time is here and I have plenty of shopping still left. I will be traveling to Toronto, Ottawa and Kingston (kind of like a hockey road trip)...

Posted Monday | Comments 0
rnrnrnThe hit by Chicago's Brent Seabrook on St. Louis captain David Backes in game 2 was a clean hit that resulted in a game misconduct, and three game suspension for Seabrook. rnrnBackes was coming around the boards from behind the net. He touched the puck, but flew by leaving it in the corner to be picked up by Chicago...
Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DailyNHLGrind It was an old fashion battle between two of the fastest up-tempo teams in the NHL Saturday night. The Avs and Hawks put on a show in front of an overcapacity sold out crowd at the Pepsi Center as Chicago came away with a 5-2 victory after an empty-netter sealed the deal late. “Their powerplay was better...
