I was putting together a poll the other day about who people thought would take home the Norris Trophy, and I came across what was an insane stat to me. Christian Ehrhoff is leading all defensemen in +/- with a +16!?! Not only that, but he has 7 goals and 11 assists for 18 points on the season so far (3 of which are PP points). Most amazingly of all, he has 70 SOG with a 1...
Let's say, for arguments sake, that neither Thornton nor Marleau will be wearing a letter when the Sharks open the 2014-2015 season. Let's assume that they are 'passing the torch' to the younger players in the organization.
Who gets the letters? Let's look at the real candidates, and there aren't many.
