Isles play Toronto in a huge game

Posted February 14, 2017
At the start of the season, Islander fans didn't think this team was a playoff team after their dreadful start to the 2016-2017 campaign. When the Islanders fired Jack Capuano they were 17-17-8 and 8 points out and now they sit 1 point out of the last wild card spot, behind the Toronto Maple Leafs, whom they play tonight in Toronto. The Isles moved on to play the Boston Bruins who they beat on December 20. Greiss got the nod again for NY and this time he was soli... Read More »

The Islanders scored two goals in two games this weekend (one in each) and both were back-to-back 2-1 losses to the Avs and the Coyotes. Johnny Boychuk had a goal on Friday and an assist on Alan Quine's goal on Saturday. Thomas Greiss played both games and was brilliant in both. Staying disciplined was what coach Capuano...
