Busts/Heroes

Posted April 20, 2008
Looking at what Danny Briere has done during these playoffs, should we forget about his non-contract worthy regular season? Briere still had points to make a good season but not the season Philly signed him for. Here are his stats this year and last: GP G A P +/- PIM PP SH GW Shots % 2006-2007 Sabres 81 32 63 95 17 89 9 0 6 234 13.7... Read More »

The Big Three

Posted January 12, 2008
Ever since Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and KG teamed up in Boston I have been thinking, is the key to success three stars or all-stars, at least, to have success. If you look at the Ducks last year, three defensemen stepped it up in the playoffs and they were Pronger, Niedermayer, and Beauchemin. Pronger was tied for second on the team in scoring and a +10. Slightly Used Players For Sale

Posted January 9, 2008
When the trade deadline does loom and a GM announces we are a seller or a buyer this brings up players you will soon be RFA's of UFA's who I call Rent-a-Players. However, how much money would you fork over for a old Ferrari you gonna ride for a short... Read More »

Pick Up Samsonov

Posted December 30, 2007
When the Hawks put Samsonov on waivers I thought that his career was over and he would retire gracefully. I then pulled up his stat sheet and realized he is still only twenty-nine. Sergei still has the chance to turn it around and finish with a decent career. Not this year but maybe next. So who should give him this opportunity? The L.A. Kings of course. He is set to become a free agent next... Read More »

A Cure That is Not A.O. or a Goalie

Posted December 27, 2007
The Kings are flat. I know few of you knew this. While Alexander the Great maybe on the market giving up our best goalie is not an option. There are two players in history I know of who could make the playoffs without a goalie The Great One, and Sid the Kid. Crosby left in five games and Gretzky won the cup with one of the best teams of all time. A.O. can't do it, he barely afloat with Ollie... Read More »
