Sharks Sign Jamal Mayers!!!!!!!!!!!

Somehow this great news has slipped under the radar on this site with all the Kolvochuk and Kaberle talk. I am extreamly excited though because it adds another player type that we have not had in abundance. Essentialy he will replace Manny Malholtra but Mayers brings a lot more speed to the situation. For years I hated seeing him go in hard on the forcheck and roughing up our D, but now we will not have to worry about that as he will be doing it for us. I think he will fit in great with Scotty Nichol, Torrey Mitchell, Logan Couture, Jamie McGinn, and Dwight Helminen or anyone else who comes in through training camp.
Although this is not the final piece to the puzzle, it is an important one. There is still a lot of offseason to go and hopefully the sharks can put together what we need to take our playoff run that one extra step.
