With Chris Pronger back in the lineup Philadelphia will have an added boost for tonights game against the slumping Senators. Pronger will be reinserted into a lineup that boasts one of the leagues best defense corps. One that did not miss a beat during his absence. Sergei Bobrovsky is the likely goalie for the flyers, and Andreas Nodl will most likely sit out of tonight game. He said after practice that he was available if needed. Expect to see Dan Carcillo in the game tonight instead.
With the Senators struggling this season, Cory Clouston is on the hot seat and will be removed from behind the Sens bench in a matter of time. With Jason Spezza and Alex Kovalev out, dont expect any miracle from the senators, as they are likely to continue their losing streak tonight unless the flyers play unmotivated hockey, or allow a late game come back as they have being doing of late. As stated before the return of Chris Pronger should provide the spark needed to put the Senators away.
Everyone remembers the brawl from years past, and the cheap shot to Gagne last season, so with the Senators struggling it is possible that we will see plenty of the rought stuff tonight. Especially with Carcillo in the lineup, and Jody Shelley being fired up after a hard hitting game against the caps, in which more than a few would be fights were broken up.
In the end, look for Philadelphia to put this game away, and continue their winning ways leading the east and the league. If San Jose is able to stiffle the Canucks tonight Philly will have sole posession of 1st place in the league, with equal games played between the two clubs.
