Leafs Not Done

Brian Burke continues his make over of the Leafs with the aquisition of Lombardi and Franson. Franson is the real jewel of this trade. Another young, big defenceman (6'5" 225 lbs) to add to the defence core with looks like; Phaneuf, Aullie, Schenn, Lilies, Gunnarsson with possibly Lashoff or a prospect.
Lombardi, like Connelly is a low risk, high reward player. If he's healthy a good number 2 center, a great number 3.
Looks like Burke is setting things up to make a pitch for Stamkos (though I still can't believe it). If Stamkos does indeed want out of Tampa, Yzermann HAS to deal.
Burke may be in prime position loaded with game space and player options to make a legitimate off to Tampa.
Players Burke could offer would no doubt include Kadri, McArthur, Kulemin and let`s speculate (or maybe hope Komisarek),though no doubt Tampa would ask for Schenn.
All just fun and games to this point, but if Stamkos does have to go, you can bet Burke will be ready, if not already!
