So you are a Jets fan, good, so am I.
Even though I have some issues with some of their players, Winnipeg is my second home.
But I want to know what you think about the Jets going after homegrown talent.
Anyone that has spent some time in Winnipeg in the winter knows what is in store, something that can only be compared to in an NHL city by the name of Edmonton (and we all know how players love going to that city), and that if you haven't experienced that type of cold, you won't understand.
So does it make sense for the Jets to try and bring home some more players that know about Winnipeg.
But what I want to know, WHO do you want the Jets to try and bring home? What Manitoba players do you want them to go after? or even Saskatchewan born players as well (assuming that Rider country doesn't get too offended about Bomber country having a NHL team.)
Can't wait for game 1!
Having homegrown talent is great to fill out the 4th line and ahl, and if you happen to run into a prospect whos homegrown thats an extra bonus but the first and only goal should be to make the team better whether that means taking a player from europe, asia or manitoba it shouldnt matter.
Bring home? Why not just steal more American teams and get your players that way. Love how all these jet fans get a good team and act like they deserve it. You people should have to go through 10 years of getting pound on by central division rivals until your team has a 1win to 30 loses and then get swept out of the playoffs your first time in it...before you get a team. STFU and go away IMO!
Calm down guy. They're excited to have a team. Maybe you need togo the way of the Thrashers and go away. As far as stealing franchises from America, that's all your nation does. Jets, Nordiques, Expos, Grizzlies to name a few.
