The Hawks are playing their final home game before embarking on the six game "Circus Trip." But first things first, the Hawks can't look past tonights game with the Edmonton Oilers.
For the Oilers, this is the final stop of a six-game road trip, who have lost their last two games. They last played Friday losing to the Deadwings 3-0. Meanwhile the Hawks on Friday improved their record to 3-0-1 in the second game of back to back games putting out the Flames 4-1 thanks to the Razor saving the Hawks, especially during the sloppy first period.
Back to tonight's game. The Oilers are lead by backstopper Nikolai Khabibulin (former Hawk) who leads the league with a 1.18 GAA and the Oilers strong 9-5-2 start has been a suprise to most in the league. They are also led by up and coming stars, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Taylor Hall. The Hawk's netminder "The Crow" has gone 1-1-0 with a 1.52 gaa in two career games against the Oilers and is expected to get the start. The Hawks will need the Kane line to step up tonight. I expect Car Bomb to put one in the net.
Expected Hawks Lineup:
Offense:
Stalberg-Toews-Hossa
Carcillo-Kane-Sharp
Frolik-Kruger-Bickell
Brunette-Mayers-Olesz
D-Men:
Seabrook-Keith
Leddy-Hjalmarsson
Montador-Scott
Brick Layer:
Crawford
Odds and Ends:
Dave Bolland is still out as a result of taking a slap shot off his ankle during the Blues game.
After tonight's game the Hawks will head to Vancouver to seek retribution for an earlier 6-2 loss to the Canuckleheads.
