As head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ron Wilson has had his shares of ups and downs in his three seasons....mostly downs. Being under the spotlight for a losing franchise in hockey's biggest market, Wilson has been constantly bashed and disregarded for an otherwise decent job as coach. Although not having appeared in the playoffs, Wilson has implemented a fast paced game, development of young players within the team, and a good vibe within the locker room. His job as coach has serviced him well this year, as the team is 15-11-3 and currently 6th place in the eastern conference. Give credit where it is due, Wilson is one of the better coaches in the league, and as a fan I look forward to many more years with him under the helm as the players are playing hard for him and enjoy his presence.
