It is January 2nd, and the Canucks are 2 points out of first place in the NHL. I`m sure anyone who has been a Canucks fan for as long as I have been, must be truly happy with the state of the Franchise, this has been the best back to back seasons of hockey we have ever seen. I plan on sharing my thoughts, and opinions through this blog, and see if it is something I will begin to enjoy.
The Canucks face the Sharks at home tonight, after their 3 game California road trip. I sure hope the beating the Kings laid on them is fresh in the teams mind, because this Sharks team won`t want to loose again to the Canucks and will come out with similar attack as the Kings did.
I think Higgins and Weise, will stand out tonight, Higgins must be itching to get back in a game, while Weise just seems ready to have a bit of breakout game, maybe a Gordie Howe hat trick or some thing along those lines.
With this being the first game after a road trip, it could be a total bomb, but as an optimistic fan I`m thinking the Nucks weather the storm through the first period and carry home a victory the rest of the way.
Looking forward to sharing more as the rest of the season progresses.
