Just in time for the Red Wings to get goaltender Jimmy Howard and forward Dan Cleary back from injuries news hit hard about superstar Pavel Datysuk getting arthroscopic surgery on his knee this morning. Datysuk, who is leading Detroit with 59 points in 59 games, is expected to miss the next couple of weeks.
General manager Ken Holland said the surgery was "minor" and he should be back in a coupl of weeks. Let's hope he's right. Although Henrik Zetterberg is picking up his point total it never hurts to have the hands of Pavel on your team.
I have no doubt though that he will be able to come back and be 100% by the playoffs, and even if he's not 100% he's better than 90% of the league injured.
