Why the Canucks Need Dustin Brown

After watching last night’s game against the Red Wings, it became apparent to me that this team is not that deep up front, especially with the likes of Raymond on the 2nd line. We can’t expect the 3rd line to produce every night, and when the Sedins are shutdown, the Kesler line needs to step up.
Adding a guy like Brown and playing him with Kesler and Booth immediately gives us the strong, gritty 2nd line we’ve always wanted and in terms of skill and scoring abilities, I think we can all agree Brown is a for sure upgrade over Raymond.
Brown is a heart and soul type player much like Kesler that oozes intensity and can do all things from hitting, scoring and going to the corners and doing the dirty work.
At only a 3mill cap hit, I think any team serious about contending for the cup this year would be crazy not to want a guy like this on their team.
Though I still firmly believe the Canucks need a few more defenseman, I’d love to see Brown in a Canuck’s uniform.
What I’m giving up: Raymond, Schroeder, 2nd round draft pick
