FLAMES...
The Flames announced that they signed right wing Tim Jackman to a two-year, $1.25 million deal.
CANUCKS-SABRES swap...
Cody Hodgson is sent to Buffalo for Zack Kassian. This is certainly one of the biggest two deals of the day. Kassian has the potential to be a top power forward, while Hodgson is more advanced at this stage. He will help the Sabres, who were very thin at center ice. The teams also swapped defensemen, with Marc-Andre Gragnani headed to Vancouver for Alexander Sulzer.
The Canucks also made a minor deal, acquiring right wing Andrew Gordon from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Sebastien Erixon.
BOSTON...
In addition to Brian Rolston and Mike Mottau, the Bruins added defenseman Greg Zanon from the Wild for forward Steven Kampfer. The Islanders get back prospects Yannick Riendeau and Mac Cantin in the Rolston-Mottau deal. Both are headed to AHL Bridgeport.
LIGHTING...
With Brian Lee going to Tampa Bay for Matt Gilroy, it would seems like Brett Clark is going somewhere
LEAFS-LIGHTING swap...
The Tampa Bay Lightning send former first-round pick Carter Ashton to the Toronto Maple Leafs for defenseman Keith Aulie. Ashton is the son of Brent Ashton.
WILD-OILERS swap...
The Edmonton Oilers acquired defenseman Nick Schultz from the Minnesota Wild for defenseman Tom Gilbert. Analysis of that and the Commodore deal are on the trade tracker. Click on the link.
Tweeted Wild beat writer Mike Russo: "Schultz is stunned; looking forward to playing on a good, young, up and coming Oilers team. Tough loss for everyone personally around Wild."
JETS...
The Winnipeg Jets have claimed Grant Clitsome on waivers, which probably means Johnny Oduya will be moved.
Also, the Canadiens picked up Minnesota's Brad Staubitz on re-entry waivers.
The following players cleared waivers: Brian Rolston, Ryan Russell, Eric Boulton and Krys Kolanos. Kolanos was sent to the AHL.
PREATDORS...
The Predators get forward Andrei Kostitsyn from the Montreal Canadiens for a second-round 2013 pick and the return of the conditional fifth-round pick from the Hal Gill trade.
And these are some of the trades that happened today... Sadly kings of course signed any body
