I have grown fed up with the nonsense of this league. While I complain I will also offer some suggestions:
Refs rotate; they do not ref more than 2 playoff games in one series. This can be done; I hear computers are pretty good at making schedules. Who cares about the travel schedule.
Toronto should be able to call a specific game and overturn a bad call: the icing call in the first period of the Pit-Phi game; Brier's off side goal.
You sit for as long as the player you injured sits, and perhaps longer, regardless of injury as well. Keith sits as long as Sedin is out. Bitz sits as long as Clifford is out. Weber not getting a suspension is stunning. He sits regardless. I've heard all the arguments that it's too difficult to determine the extent of a head injury. Who cares. You sit.
The top 16 teams in the league make the playoffs, with 1 playing 16 etc. Division winners only make the playoffs if their point total is within the top 16, and then place where their point total places, not third if they really are 15th or 16th.
If a goalie ventures outside his crease, even if only a part of his body is outside the crease, and brushed up against a player who is outside of the crease, there is no penalty. Stay in your (frank)ing crease; if you venture out, you are fair game.
Predictions are just that, predictions. Stop personalizing them. It's like arguing which colour is better.
Appreciate hockey for what it is: a (frank)ing game to entertain you. If you cannot enjoy the sport for the sake of the sport, find something else to do with your time.
