As the Flyers get set to face the Bad news Bears this afternoon, I have to Wonder when the hammer falls on either Peter Laviolette, or one of a couple under achieving forwards currently gliding through the neutral zone.rnObviously the fair at best defense corps can't be pared down or afford another injury. While Gus has given a little relief, the unfortunate concussion issues of M.A.B. has really hurt, as the "life ring" for injuries has already been thown. Andre Mezaros' shoulder cannot heal fast enough for my liking.rnMake me GM for a day and Mr. post season, Danny Briere would find himself on the 4th line, getting about 7minutes a game until he agrees to waive his NTC. Then off he goes for a top 4 stay at home defensemen. (what good is Mr. post season if there is no post season?)rnThe off season tunnel vision of Paul " the hammer " Holmgren, usually a visionary, has really put the screws to this years Flyers team. Targeting Parise and Weber, while letting Matt Carle and Jagr walk has to be one that Homer would like a mulligan on. Lets not even mention the consolation prize of JVR for Schenn, which in hindsight really didn't help the defense at the expense of some goals...So the clock ticks....and for whom the bell tolls?????
