Many reports out of New jersey today are showing Tampa is interested in Tyler Seguin. With the departure of Lecavalier on thursday, there is a big hole to fill for the lightning at the 2nd line centre position. Lets look at what it possibly would take to land Seguin and where he would fit into the lightning lineup. rnrnCost:rnSeguin was formerly a 2nd overall pick in 2010. Seguin has had 0.59 points per game since entering the nhl. Now the rumored price for seguin is a 1st round pick prospect and roster player. That is a pretty big price but it is what boston wants. So considering what tampa bay has, we could offer our 1st this year or next. Brett connolly, nikita kucherov, or vladislav namesnikov as the prospect. ( Slater Koekkoek is still young and could be valuable to the lightning) Now for the roster player, we could offer them Tom pyatt or alex killorn, or if you want to go big then we could offer Ryan Malone. So out of all these options there are many offers to be made.rnrnPlace in lineup:rnSeguin would be a great fit for our second line center position since losing Lecavalier. There is also another way of using seguin, and its the way boston has been using him, and thats putting him on the wing.... Maybe alongside Stamkos and St. Louis? Although i would love to put him in the 2nd line center first in between Malone and Pouliot. Then the first line could be Stamkos St. Louis and Purcell. rnrnWith the draft tomorrow there are many possibilities of how this could work. Maybe they don't trade for Seguin and draft Drouin. Or maybe Seth Jones falls to Tampa, either way the draft will be very interesting and exciting day tomorrow.
I doubt Pouliot will be resigned
