The Flyers continue to confuse some and impress others

In the past few days our friend Eklund reported the flyers were the favorites to land Lecavalier. I didn't believe but as the hours past I jumped on board. This is a smart move for this hockey team for many reason. Lets start with the leadership, yes they lost the beloved Danny boy but they gained another former captain whose has won a Stanley Cup. The second is the size he brings to the offense. This team lacked a big forward like this . He'll open up the doors for some good puck movement and play two ways. The biggest upgrade face offs. He's gonna win a ton of face offs something this team needed. Old news! This is a smart move. Vinny is a smart player two way player. He adds leadership to the younger guys on the offensive side of the puck. He still has gas left in the tank and he adds desperate size to a small core of players. Now turn to the blue line and get rid of some of the inconsistent players making high cap numbers. Add players like Jeff Schultz or Andrew Fenrence. Proven defenseman in this league. Continue to build your blue line thru the draft and sign your young core to extensions.
