Mason Raymond should not be overlooked when talking about the slim free agent pool left and the forward position. Look for Raymond to be signed almost immediately following the signings of Grabo, Brunner, Morrow. Raymond is rumoured to be considered a backup plan/2nd option for a depth forward behing the previously mentioned forwards. Raymond had 22 points in 46 games played last year with the Canucks and could be a nice option for teams needing a depth scoring forward. There are no real frontrunners to sign Raymond but the he would fit nicely with the Hurricanes adding a scoring touch to their weak bottom six. Other options could be the Oilers and Capitals. It is unlikely he resigns with the Canucks but it is always a possibility at the right price. There were many rumours about Raymond and the Calgary Flames a couple weeks ago but both parties dispelled the rumour. I wouldn't be surprised if Mason Raymond did end up inking a long term contract with the Flames.
