The new hockey season is upon us with only 37 days away from puck drop. The Capitals will find themselves in a new division with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Carolina Hurricanes and Columbus Blue Jackets. Safe to say, this division will be one of the better divisions in the league with teams like Columbus and New Jersey and the Flyers adding important pieces to their team, the Jackets with Horton, the Devils with Schneider, and the Flyers with Vincent Lecavalier, while the Rangers and the Vancouver Canucks traded coaches in the off season. Meanwhile, the Capitals signed highly sought after free agent Mikhail Grabovski to a one year contract at 3 million$, Grabovski had a disappointing year during the lock out shortened season, putting up 9 goals and 7 assists in 48 games, with perhaps the biggest news pertaining to Grabovski coming after the season, when Grabovski called Carlyle an "idiot" in an interview after he was bought out. Asked if he had any concerns about Grabovski's character, Capitals general manager George McPhee told reporters in Arlington, Va., that the organization did its "homework," adding that the expectation for players is to contact the coach directly about concerns. George McPhee and Adam Oates are hoping that last year was just an off year for the 29 year old Belorussian, and he can get back to his 2010 and 2011 form where he put up 58 and 51 points, respectively. In Washington, Grabovski will be the 2nd line centre behind Nicklas Backstrom and will see ample power play time, whether he produces is up to him. Given the amount of ice time he will see, I fully expect him to put up points. Grabovski will bring offense to a Capitals team that is already studded with NHL Stars Alex Ovechkin, Mike Green, and Nicklas Backstrom. Although George Mchpee isn't the busiest of GM's in the off season, he seems to make the right signings at the right time, only time will tell however, if the signing will pay off, but on the paper, Grabovski fits perfectly with the Caps as the 2nd line centre.
It is a good post for the hockey lovers with the title Mikhail Grabovski and the Washington Capitals and it helps the players too. While searching for the research paper writing service I come to know about the best ideas that help me and provide me the detail as a solution.
