Mr. $36 million dollar man, David Clarkson, Toronto Maple Leafs forward, will sit out again from the Leaf's lineup. Clarkson has a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his sly shoulder to head of St. Louis Blues LW, Vladimir Sobotka. Clarkson, already suspended once this season for leaving the bench to assist in a fight. The automatically cost him not only the rest of the preseason, but the first 10 games of the start of the 2013-2014 NHL season. Clarkson has played only 23 of the 33 Maple Leafs games this season, scoring 2 goals and only 6 points. This is just what Clarkson needs: a bad representation with the Leafs. Already suspended 10 games of the season and at least, in my thoughts, 5+ more; only scoring six points in 23 games? I don't know how David Clarkson could have pulled something like this off, but all tough guys in the league know how. If this is how he's gonna play, he'll be joining Ilya Bryzgalov with big deals gone bad... and probably ending up with the Edmonton Oilers. Clarkson's deal made in the offseason was signed for 7-years, $36.75 million.
