A new thing i'm going to try is called, My "Team on the Move." This is going to be based on my opinion, of course. So my first team on the move is going to be... the Calgary Flames! Why not? The Flames have already played three games since the firing of Jay Feaster. They have earned at least 1 point in each of those three games. The exact record, 2-0-1. Calgary's leading scorer in those 3 games is center Paul Byron. Another reason I think that Calgary could be on the move is because the last six games have been 1 goal games, in which they've went 3-2-1. All year though, the Flames have put up 22 one goal games (11-6-5)! They've only played 33 games this season. I know its easier said than done, but the Flames have to learn how to close games out. They can; they have a young offensive team, but possibly need more experience. They have Mike Cammalleri, & Captain Mike Giordano, but I think a mistake by Feaster was getting rid of all there experience and leadership at one time. Jarome Iginla & Jay Bouwmeester were traded five days apart. Not to make things worse, longtime goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff retired right before the beginning of the season. Although this is all negative for Calgary, I think they know what direction they're going. Closing out games and finding their leadership is on the top of the teams list. Brian Burke steps in as the interim GM. Calgary is 13-15-5 in 33 games, and 5-4-1 in their last 10 games.
