Wild Fans!
It is game night in the city of Angels, and the Wild need to have a game like the had in the third period against the Coyotes on Friday. This game is key for the Wild to win to keep a comfortable lead on the Coyotes and Stars in the Western Conference Wild Card race.
A story for the ages.
The Wild can't seem to catch a break this year, which is Goaltender injuries. Yes, it happened yet again at practice this morning, 'King Kuemper' is out of tonight's game with an undisclosed upper-body injury, and the Wild has signed this man below to back up Ilya Bryzgalov against the Kings.
Laurie backing up the Anaheim Ducks.
The story of tonight's game will be a trying test against a very hot team in the Los Angeles Kings. If the Wild can score goals, keep pressure, and have decent goaltending behind in Bryz, we have a good shot to win this game. Defensive keys are to keep this extremely offensively talented team at bay with little shots, and stay off the PK.
Being Jon Blum's 100th NHL game, and Zach Parise having passed his dad in NHL goal totals, that should lead to a spark of motivation and excitement to come out with the right amount of energy for this team to succeed against a great team all around in the Kings.
Stay Classy Minnesota, and let's get a
W!
