IS VANEK REALLY WORTH IT?

Yes he has scored when the habs needed to but in other big games he has been rather invisible and at the least. The dumb penalty he took for slashing 200 feet away from the puck killed the Canadiens the could have taken advantage from the power play they had. Will M.B give Vanek the amount of 7.5 upwards when he doesn't show up some games. Barring a Montreal comeback and a stellar performance by Vanek, I certainly hope not. M.B could spend the money on other things or on other fa's like resigning Markov and Subban, or going after ufa's like Stastny, Gaborik, Callahan, Hemsky...etc. Wouldn't be suprised that if the habs loose the series and Vanek is still quiet, that his rights will be traded prior to the draft.
