Isles ink Johnson and Campoli....Morris or Markov next??

The islanders continued to make improvements this week by signing two young defensemen with alot of offensive potential. Aaron Johnson, a 24-year-old defenseman, was picked up on Thursday and i am very pleased with this signing. It gives the islanders something they really lacked last year, defensive depth. Think about it instead of our only backup plans being Allan Rourke and Drew Fata, we now have Johnson and also newly aquired big guy Matthew Spiller.
Chris Campoli was signed earlier today through the 09-10 season and this was another thing islander management had to do. Already a fan favorite in his second year on the team Campoli brings alot of intensity and has developed a bit of a mean streak. His offensive upside is also very impressive and i am very happy to have him locked up for three more years.
Ok so i know that the islanders have had a new defenseman on their mind every day for the past couple of weeks and as Ek stated today the current possibility could be the isles signing Danny Markov AND trading for Derek Morris. If this turned out to be the case i would more than thrilled. I believe that if we got Morris to replace Hill and Markov to replace Poti we would actually be a much better defensive team than last year. Morris is still young and entering his prime and can throw the body around more than hill....which he loves to do even if he does sometimes miss. Hes also equipped with a very powerful shot that would give us two depndable power play BOMBS. Markov is more of a physical defensemen than Poti was. I know alot of isles fans who didnt like Poti because of his reluctance to use the body. I personally liked Poti but whats done is done. Markov also has one impressive stat a career +47 rating and was a +25 last year, much better in comparison to Poti's -1.Although markov can get hurt because of his sometimes fearless play, we havent had that kind of defensive stability since Kenny Jonsson's days in my opinion.
Now if that happened i wouldnt mind a d-corp of:

Markov-Bergeron
Campoli-Gervais
Meyer
Johnson
Spiller
I know I know, what about Radek Martinek. Much as i love him and his style of play when hes confident, the guys is VERY injury prone and i wouldnt mind if they packaged him and someone else for another goal scorer like marleau for martinek and satan?. But thats just me....

Would be nice if Want told Snow to do what he had to to add morris and markov. As long as it doesn't hurt the future of this franchise. So far this offseason has been kind of strange. Ups and downs wise. But all in all i think this team may be better off if the add those to stalworth d-men. LETS GO ISLANDERS

Another thing if they are going for a trade for morris something has to go.. before today we all thought campoli and possibly hunter was on the choppying block... camp seems to be safe and lets hope the same can be said about hunter.. but who are they going to give up now in a trade for morris or someother dman? meyer? martinek?

I would rather them go for UFAs instead of a trade... sutton and markov would be awesome. And I honestly wouldnt mind if Peca came back to fill up some holes in the middle.
i too would rather have sutton, he and witt would be a great top line but morris is younger and could also fill that hole very nicely IMO
just dont trade hunter. he's a character guy and losing him would hurt.
i to prefer sutton, and then markov. If they want to trade one of the other defensemen to acquire some offense go for it, i hope it would be Brad Richards. Imagine Richards for satan and martinek.
