The Tampa Bay Lighting have some depth on their team, especially when it comes to goaltending.
With 7:35 to go in the opening period of Game One of the Eastern Conference Final, Lightning's starting goalie, Ben Bishop got injured.
In fact, Bishop had to be carried off the ice on a stretcher.
I thought that the Lightning's luck had ran out. I mean, the team have been playing without captain, Steven Stamkos for the entire playoffs and still managed to get into the conference final.
Tampa proved me wrong again.
Backup goalie, Andrei Vasilevsky took over for Bishop and helped Tampa to a 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
There's a little bit of good news, though.
Lightning's general manager, Steve Yzerman told
Tampa Bay Times that Bishop is day-to-day on the disabled list.
It seems that the injury is not as bad as it look.
