The Summer Long Leaf Debate.

All summer long we have expressed our opinions of whether or not the Leafs should get rid of Kubina or not. From what I have read, I think the majority would like to see Kubina gone. Now I'm not about to jump on the Kubina bandwagon just yet. Personally the two Dmen I would have tried to get were McKee and Brandon Witt (I know Mckee got hurt but those things happen) but I really do feel the Leafs should hold onto him, at least for now. If he gets of to the same type of start this year than they should try to trade him and if they have to wait untill the deadline than so beit. His trade value certainly won't be any lower than it is right now IMO, so why not. There's no doubt he is overpaid. But if you go by this summers free agent period and what the defence got, He's not as overpaid as we all feel. Look at Timonen in Philly, that's crazy. What about Hamrlik? I'd rather have Kubina any day. IMO these are the two craziest free agents signings of the summer. Now some of you will say that Kubina's contract was the craziest of last summer and you have a point. But, if he were signed this year, IMO he would have gotten more.[img:right]
