Ok well I've been needing to get this off my chest and tonites Leaf/Sabres game did it. Bryan "7 Mill" McCabe needs to go. Larry Murphy him. Boo him til he leave. A message to Bryan... take Darcy with you too!!
Combined these guys make over 10 mllion a year on this Leaf team. I have numerous reasons why I dislike these guys.
Lets start with McCabe. For starters.. have you ever seen him play defence? He makes like 2 good d plays a night and like 4 blunders. He is a -3 on the year and even since the beginning of last year, for 7 Million? Give me a break. What does Bryan have on JFJ to get that contract? His claim to fame is his one timer. EVERYONE and there mother know about that now and players come right up to him on the PK so what are his other tools? He has none. I used to defend him, not anymore.
Now this is one I might get it for but I dont care, Darcy Tucker is not worth 3 millions a year and is a 3rd line player at best. Has anyone seen him stickhandle? He gets to the blue line, dumps it in, chases and goes for the hit then falls down. He cant play defence (-11 last year and -3 this year including tonite) More than half of his 24 goals came from sweet passes by Welly, Sundin or Kaberle. I know he has heart and come March/April he is an asset but please Maurice, no more top PP for him give it to someone more deserving, like the focus of my last part, Nik Antropov.
I'll take anything you guys have to say. He is slow, he is fragile. He is a heck of a player! He has soft hands, finally uses his size and has a good hockey mind. Last year 54 games, 18 goals +8. This year 7 games, 5 goals +8. He is hitting (That was a good hit tonite) and is setting up some beauties. Im officially pleading with Leaf Nation as of this point, we no longer boo Antropov and focus is on McCabe!
