Just read a report on WGRZ.com in Buffalo, NY that Richard Zednik has been upgraded to Good Condition and will be moved from ICU to a private room sometime this afternoon. I am thrilled to hear that news and wish him and his family the best!

thats awesome... glad to hear he is doing well..
Thanks for the update! That is unbelievably good news!
i really don't know what people will think of this comment but being at the game yesterday and the way of course zednik left and how the fans reacted to the whole thing, wouldn't it be kind of cool if he came and visited. i was thinking about this last night and just wanted to hear what others thought. i think that would be kind of a nice way to put this incident behind zednik and the fans and i am positive that the people here in buffalo would welcome him.
It would be great to see Zednik back at HSBC Arena! I think Tom Golisano should have him as a guest in the owner's box, but I'm sure Zednik wouldn't accept. If the Panthers wouldn't object, maybe he could do a ceremonial face-off before he left for Florida. I'm sure he would get a standing ovation...
All I know is Richard Zednick is a STUD. Anyone that can have his carotid artery cut and still skate all the way to the bench on his own is the toughest SOB in the league. Our prayers go out to him and his family.
I think that would be awesome if he came back just to let the fans give him an ovation. He really deserves it.
Great idea 51! I was at game Sunday and never felt so bad for another human being. Just have him come out of the Zamboni door exit a couple of steps and give a wave. Ala Malarchuk. No words needed. Just a wave and another ovation would be enough for everyone to have some closure on the whole thing.
I think that that would be a step in the right direction for the league if Zednik came back to the Arena before he left. I agree with everyone here who has posted and yeah - he is the toughest sum bitch out there! I am really glad that hear that he is doing so well.
