On a team full of offensively challenged defenseman we have seen flashes of brilliance from the Swedish defenseman Johnny Oduya. In recent weeks his point production has slowly begun to climb and he has had two very Orr like rushes down the ice, that resulted in Devil's goals. However, not all is rosey in Devils land and Johnny has often found himself watching the games from the press box. Is Oduya a young star on the rise or a sub-par defender that occasionally chips in offensively? Ken Daneyko likened his skating sytle to Scott Niedermayer but I think it is too early to hail him as the second coming of the great #27. I for one would like to hold on to Oduya. Thoughts?
