Game three of the Islanders-Sabres series is tonight at 7:30 on the island. That eerie quiet you hear around Western NY is everyone holding there breath. Before the series began there were alot of Sabres sweep and Sabres in 5 predictions. When talk of Dipietro playing game 2 started there was alot of bring it on we want to beat you with your best so there are no excuses. I for one will not feel good until this series is over and they have won. I shudder to think of what things will be like if they were to lose this series to Ted Nolan's bunch. I have never seen expectations for anything be as high as they are around this team. Buffalo needs this team to go far into the playoffs and if possible win the cup. It could revitalize a city and region that has taken one too many sucker punches. Once in a while sports can do what nothing else can bringing together people and communities rooting toward a common goal. I expect the Sabres will come out flying tonight like they usually do when they need to. However if Mr D. was to stand on his head like he did in game 2 I suspect the emergency rooms might be very busy tonight!!
