This is my first attempt at any type of blog here on HockeyBuzz. I've been a long time reader of the site and read just about every thing posted here. I've been wanting to do game previews and recaps for awhile now and I have finally went ahead and did it! I hope you enjoy it and I hopefully I can improve in the future.
A more graphical version can be found on my new website that I am slowly working on.

Flyers 4 Islanders 1

Game Notes:
• The Flyers power play was on fire tonight going 4 for 7. Hats off to Terry Murray for finally getting the formula right without Richards. The PK wasn't bad either going 5-5.
• It's wierd when the only plus players in a game are the losing team and the only minus players are the winning team. I guess thats what happens when you score 4 power play goals in a game.
• Briere and Prospal finally seem to be getting a little chemistry going. DiPietro robbed at least 2 goals from them. If Carter cools off this line will be ready to go. Just imagine if Gagne was with them ....
• The refs made a few bad calls including the hit on Upshall. The waved off goal was marginal. They hardly reviewed it. At least the game wasn't decided over it, so it's really not a big deal. The Flyers got away with a few as well.
• I found it amuzing that after the Bill Guerin cheap shot on Upshall, the CSN Broadcast did a feature on him. Guerin took the camera on a tour of his new house on Long Island.
• Steve Downie was scratched again in favor of 7 defensemen. I could think of better guys to sit but I won't mention Modrys name.
• Scotty Hartnell was rockin' an Eagles hat during the post game interview.
• This was Derian Hatcher's 200 game as a Flyer.
