Zetterberg? Datsyuk? Alfredsson? No, It's Fabian Brunnstrom.
Lets not get over our heads here. Fabian Brunnstrom is a 23 year old late bloomer with a lot of potential but don't expect Brunnstrom to make the lineup with ease. He is far from ready.
Brunnstrom should be treated like a 18 year old prospect who just got drafted in the first round. Don't get me wrong, Brunnstrom has plenty of potential but they don't call him a late bloomer for nothing. He still needs time to develop.
Don't Expect Brunnstrom to play on the same line with the Sedins because chances are that it doesn't work out. The only reason people are saying that Brunnstrom fits with the Sedins is because they're all Swedish, which isn't fair at all.
20 NHL teams line up for his services because in the current NHL system, teams need young players to be successful. Brunnstrom should likely be a top draft entry level contract - which is 900k plus bonuses a year. He's not going to be asked to step in the NHL right away. He isn't demanding top six minutes, next year like many seem to believe. (He's not Russian).
So why would he sign with Vancouver? I think it's pretty clear that he is inspired by fellow countrymen Alexander Edler's success in VanCity.
