Well, it's probably the most cliche blog a hockey fan can possibly write, but here are my round two predictions!
Montreal Canadiens vs Philadelphia Flyers
Both teams are coming off 7 game series, but the Habs have had an extra day off and have home ice advantage. The Flyers will be playing 3 games in 4 nights. The Habs should take games 1 and 2, but I expect the Flyers to take game 3. 4 and 5 will belong to Les Glorieux.
Habs in 5.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs New York Rangers
This is going to be a long, hard series. I'm getting tired just thinking about it. Avery is going to be a thorn in the side of Fleury, Crosby, Malkin, and anyone else he can get to pay attention to him. The question is, do the Penguins have the character to withstand it? I don't think they do.
Rangers in 7.
Detroit Red Wings vs Colorado Avalanche
This used to be quite a rivalry...good to see it being rekindled a little bit. I'm pulling for the Avs, but I can't help but pick Detroit. They've really started to come together again.
Red Wings in 6.
San Jose Sharks vs Dallas Stars
Both of these teams are coming off of an extremely tough series, and these are two relatively evenly matched teams. Dallas has more talent, but San Jose has more grit. I'm going with San Jose, just because I picked them to go to the finals from the start, but it's going to be long.
Sharks in 7.
