Most Devils fans would like a coach who could stay for 5-6 years behind the bench without Lou firing them or quiting because they are "home sick." There are a few coaching opions who are overlooked that would make good choices. I do not want Lemaire back, he didnt work out for the Wild, I do not want him to come here. Sorry Devils fasn who wanted him back.
Pat Burns: Burns in only one season with the Devils won the cup. Cant complain with that stat. Most players who had great years with him are still with the devils. Langenbrunner and Elias, Gionta etc. Burns has beat cancer and is healthy and should be ready to step back behind the bench.
Chris Terriei: Terriei is a former Devils goalie, won the cup in 2000, and has been coaching with Lowell and former Devils AHL Albany. He can handle Brodeurs playing time and can help the defense get stronger.
Paul Maclean: he an assistent under Mike Babcock in Detroit, thats enough for a hire right there.
Bobby Orr: What a signing he would be, unlikely but stil WOW if it happened.
Robbie Ftorek: He would be a great signing. He has fire (rermember when he threw the bench) and has coached the Devils and Albany before
