Eakin brings alot of grit and speed for a player of his size. Not afraid to go into the corners or drive to the net, he's a solid character player who is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win.
While he is a natural center, he can also play wing as he did with the Canada Under-18 team this year. He also played on the top line and found great chemistry with John Tavares during the Top Prospects game.
A good two-way player, he brings solid offense and the ability to effectively kill penalties or spend time on the PP. What he lacks in size he makes up for in determination.
