Once again the Stars managed to lose another shootout. Adrian Aucoin's wrist shot was a dagger in the heart for all stars fans. Phoenix, who did not arrive in Dallas until 3:00 am Saturday morning did not out play the Stars but when the game was on the line the Coyotes stepped up.
The Stars were playing for their playoff life and the Coyotes were playing for first place.
Coming off a six game home stand with a 2-2-2 record is to me a clear indication of what the Stars are this year, mediocre.
To that end I expect many changes in the off season. Let's hope that they can finish the season on a positive note.
The Stars will almost certainly miss the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1987 and 1988, when the franchise was located in Minnesota.
