2. Brent Sutter will be fired after 20 games
3. Luongo is injured mid-way through the season and Schneider steps in and proceeds to be the hottest goaltender over the remainder of the season, garnering a Rookie of the Year nomination
4. Colorado will fall back to earth and miss the playoffs
5. Vancouver and Minnesota make the playoffs; Edmonton and Calgary do not
6. Chicago wins the Central again
7. LA wins the West; San Jose is second
8. Dallas will not make the playoffs as long as Marc Crawford is coach; he is fired 2/3 through the season and is hired (again) by HNIC as an analyst
9. Kelly Hrudey gets a man’s haircut
10. Ron McLean loses his temper with Don Cherry
11. Ron McLean loses his temper with Gary Bettman
12. Colin Campbell is replaced by Mark Messier
13. John Tavares will score 80+ points
14. Steven Stamkos will score close to 50 goals again
