"Mr. Kovalchuk! Please!!! Just sign with someone already!! The suspense is too much!!"
Isn't that what every hockey fan has been thinking lately?
This saga has taken WAY too long. What everyone thought would happen is that the Los Angeles Kings would pick up Kovalchuk on July 1st. Didn't happen.
Then everyone thought Lou and the Devils would re-sign him. Didn't happen.
Then everyone thought his only option was to sign wn,ith SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL and make Alexander Medvedev and the folks at Gazprom happy. Didn't happen.
Then, Kovalchuk, unable to get the 10 year, $100 million contract he wanted, flew to LA and was given a different offer and a star treatment.
Today Eklund labeled Kovy to LA as e4.
I hope he signs this one...
