Going for it.......

We all get sucked into the hype year after year, The media makes us beleaf we have better players than we do and the naysayers make us plan for the first overall pick there never seems to be middle ground.

I would be remiss to say that most people I know have a "source". Either someone close to an agent a leaf staffer or a friend of a friend. I o course of am not one of those people, i have many "sources" (LOL).

I have heard that Nonis and Loiselle whom will most likely be gone in a year, believe that its the next 2 years that decide the fate of the next 6 years in LeafLand, and that there is every intention of "Going for it", Should everything happen well before the Xmas break.

I would assume this means a few things.

1 They can get a cheap solid Young forward in exchange for Jake Gardiner, clearly he is not Randy's type of guy and will prosper elsewhere. The leafs know his true value and are banking on selling his potential to bring in that player.

2 They are able to move some Salary or wait closer to the deadline to exchange Liles for Gleason, with out standing we will have to drop some bonus in and hope Carolina takes back Salary.

3 Injury's are scarcer and scarcer.

4 The goaltenders keep up this unbeleafable performance.

5 Kadri and Clarkson Calm down and play their own game and stop trying to be the saviour every moment and just be themselves.

6 The players become more consistent on playing Randy's system. There is no Buy into the program here, they have bought in. They just seem to have too many lone hero's and not enough soldiers.

So is this really the year?

Can we get away without a prototypical Giant Power center?
