What are your thoughts on this matchup? My recollection of the season series was that Vancity lost 3 and won 1. The one we won we played Sabourin. So maybe we should rest Luongo for the next round seeing Sabourin had the better record?? No way! I don't know why we won that one game, my guess is that it was during their injury problems. Pronger and S. Niedermayer both were probably out of the line-up. I'm not saying we can't beat a healthy Anaheim because the playoffs is a completely different animal than the season. There's just more to the games, more intensity, more purpose.

The matchup is scary. The only thing in our favor is the officiating. I feel Luongo is the better goaltender, but when you have an all star defensive crew like they have it makes up for it. i don't think we can play a hitting game, they're bigger. We will just have to always get on the board first and focus in on shutting their top line down. It may be a special team heavy series. Hopefully our last game is an indication that our power play has turned a corner and is on the rise. Anybody else have any thoughts?

Key for them to shut us down completely is Beauchemin. Key for us is our PP must be better. They are undisciplined and could give us lots of opportunities. Conversely we need to stay out of the box. Our defense is solid enough to take them down. I think we can take game 1 since we're all in game shape and they've had a little too long off the playoff pace. But we'll see.Canucks in 6.

Key for us is to get a split in Anaheim. Canucks have to be tired, they need to strech this to game 6 as there is a 2 day break in between game 5 and 6. Canucks need to keep their feet moving and stay out of the hooking, tripping and interference calls. Canucks cannot rely soley on Luongo, they must take pressure off of him, Anaheim is too offensive to let them take shot after shot on Luongo. Bury our offensive opportunities, Salo better be back or our PP will be worse than it was in Round 1.
