It’s time to show your best “No’ leans”. Pass out the beads and raise a glass to celebrate the curse of Captain Jack the non-playoff hack!
Vegas loses in ot!
Jack “ the non-factor” Eichel showing his best Houdini when things are on the line. I’ve always thought Jack to be a me guy, a whiner with little character. He may have points, as expected, but not when it matters the most, and that’s what separates the good players from the elite.
It might take until a full season for Jack to mesh, but it also might not work at all. Or, if jacks just going to go through the motions to force a trade, say to the bruins which would be nice because it’ll involve dismantling the Bruins to get him.
Personally I don’t give a crap. I’m glad he’s gone.
Because Jack brings the same thing he brought to the Sabres. Locker room poison. His attitude will sour on his teammates because jacks not a leader. Jack may have been captain of the Buffalo Sabres but that’s not because he earned it. He was given it because he was the franchise guy and nothing more.
I was glad when he got the “c” sewn on his sweater because to me, outside of Gilbert Perrault, everyone who’s worn the “c” in Buffalo has been traded. So, it was a matter of time. In Buffalo the “c” is cursed.
For me the main piece was not Payton Krebs, but Alex Tuch. The real deal, a natural leader and it rubs off on the team. He’s got something Captain Jack never had in my eyes, r-e-s-p-e-c-t. Without it your just another body in the room.
Not only does he have more respect than Jack, he’s got more goals, more total points.
For the first time in a long time my gut has that playoff feeling for my Buffalo Sabres. And for the first time in a long time, I’ll be first in line for playoff tickets!
The best part of all is the loss to Buffalo kept them out.
