The flyers have had a rocky season the whole year, currently in 23rd place and most teams have games in hand on them don't look like they are going in the right direction. They have been poor on defense the whole season, offense has been inconsistent, and 5 on 5 of late has been a struggle. Teams have succeed against the flyers when they played a 5 on 5 game against them. Being able to score, and keeping the puck out of their own net. Flyers definitely need defense if help. Getting a franchise defenseman is extremely difficult as the flyers no all to well. Go after and not receiving the services of Ryan Suter and Shea weber this offseason. And the flyers have not had a top 2 defenseman come up through there system in recent memory. So could this years draft be the answer? A deep draft and high draft pick the flyers could get there man. Seth jones would be the perfect fit but it look like he will go 1st overall and not likely the flyers will get that pick. But players like Darnell nurse a big defenseman with speed, smarts, and physicality would be a perfect match in Philly. And his uncle former quarter back for the eagles Donavan McNabb could show him the Philly life. Or A solid defensive defenseman with some puck-moving ability, Ristolainen has been playing in the Finnish pros the last two years. He has great awareness and solid mobility to go with NHL-ready size. Ristolainen probably isn't terribly far off from being ready to hop into an NHL lineup. Or Pulock could be a good piece to add To phillys back end. He has a bomb of a shot from the point and is a gifted puck-mover. He has good size and skates well but was slowed by injuries this season. There's some amount of risk in this pick, but the potential is there for a high reward. This could be the perfect piece for Philly having problems getting out of their own zone, getting the puck up to the wingers, etc. wether or not Philly thinks their not gonna make the playoffs at this time, homer will always try to make his team better rnrn
