Likely Flyers Moves

Look for Biron, Lupul, Jones, vanRiemsdyk, some defenseman and picks.
Who wants Jones, my thought is Hitchcock in Columbus, especially if we include van riemsdyk, we are likely to get a cheaper, good skating defenseman, with size, still cheap like Methot but they may want NHL ready like Upshall or Asham
Lupes only gets traded if we get a big time defenseman back, by trading Biron and Jones, we get cap room for Antropov, some cheap defenseman offering more than Jones and can keep Lupes. However I could see him traded to Nashville or Chicago if we can pry one of their up and coming defenseman and Ellis.
Why trade vanRiemsdyk, he'll be like Sharp, take too long to develop and there is no room with Giroux, Briere aleady on third line and I think Lupul is kept and traded in the summer
Why Antropov? Because we can get him cheap and if we don't get Morris, we can aford him with the other moves. Antropov with Giroux and Briere will be a solid line that could be a number 1, 2 or 3 and gives Stevens lots of pieces to tinker. Upshall isn't big enough for this line to be effective
Asham is expendable now that Powe is around for good and cheaper. Upshall offers too many giveaways
With Sbisa, Parent, Methot, Eminger and Coburn, the Flyers have cheap NHL ready defense core with tons of upside and they are set for 2009-2010

I figure we'll get a lower cost goalie like Auld or Ellis and Nitty will be the number one goalie. Why trade Biron because he is a UFA and they don't plan on resigning him. That is also why he will waive his no trade when Homer tells him, they won't resign him. My guess is Ottawa but maybe Phoenix or Nashville. We pick-up cap room. I don't think we trade Biron for a goalie but we pick one up from someone else.
I do not expect Bowmeister but Morris is still an option but I doubt we'll get him, he will probably cost Lupul or Carle.
Knuble will not be traded as that line is most consistent and he is awesome in front of net.
I think we'll get Eminger back who has blossomed in points and+/- in Tampa Bay and adds grit to the blueline, yes he is a minus 5 but on that team, that is pretty good. Further he is playing big minutes and power play time. Homer didn't want to trade him. He can be had for prospects/picks or cheap players.
