Hail to the King, Baby!

As I sat in my bedroom in the nude, watching reruns of Miami Vice on TV land and eating some cold pizza my red emergency Dr. Teeth phone rang. I reached over my pile of feathered boas, empty condom wrappers, ruffies and paternity suits I picked up the receiver and belched into it. A loud voice boomed in my ear, “Lundqvist RESIGNED!”

So now after a week or two of not sleeping, I can finally have a good night’s rest. Hank, Shanny all signed up ready to go. Though looks like we will all have to go through this again next year with Lundqvist, but at least there was no arbitration which always leaves a sour taste in everyone’s mouth.

Now, the only worry is Avery… will they sign him before his arbitration date? I’d like to think so since it seems that there will be some cap maneuverability. Gotta thank Shanny for that, taking a pay cut really helped make this all happen. Talk about a standup guy, who puts his team ahead of himself.

As for Hossa… well honestly, who really cares? He filed for arbitration which in my mind was kind of foolish. Since it was he who filed, if the ruling is any price that is too high Sather can simply walk away. Hossa has had some shades of brilliance when playing with Jagr, but first off, he is inconstant, second off he is injury prone. Basically, he just isn’t his brother. B.D. Gallof can relate to that, he’s been in my shadow for years!

The lines the way I see them…

Straka – Gomez – Jagr
Avery – Drury – Shanahan
Callahan – Cullen – Prucha
Hollweg – Betts – Orr

If for some reason they actually resign Hossa, platoon him with Hollweg. But I’d rather have Hollweg and Orr together to keep teams honest.

Now as for defense which some fans of rival teams seem to be very concerned with… you can rest easy Devil, Islanders fans, I think the Rangers will be alright

Staal will have to earn his way on the team, which is fine by me… a spot on the team by a young player should never be taken for granted… you want it, earn it. Tyutin and Girardi are only going to get better; they were -3 and -4 respectively last season. I like them both.

As for the rest of the lot, including fan favorite Mailk *cackle* let's see how they do. We still got a valuable trade piece in Montoya to get a veteren upper tier Defenseman here and got plenty of time to do it

Future is looking bright, buy the ticket take the ride

Excellent job. Try to just do your RSS under team names or Rangers and NHL, etc. Better coverage.
