Is it now a fight for 8th?

What had been a battle for the 7th and 8th seeds in the West now looks more like a fight for 8th, as the Oilers have started pulling away from the pack. There's still time for the Stars to make a push for that 7th spot...but it's looking less likely after Edmonton tacked on points 78 and 79 in their shootout win over the 'Hawks.

Do the Stars (at 74 points) have a shot at making the playoffs, or is it too little too late after battling through a season of high-profile injuries? Here is the dogfight as of Saturday morning:
