I'm still waiting to read about how the Washington fans chose to turn their ice rink into a giant trash can. Plus, did anyone see Jeff Carter get hit in the head by some type of cup?

What I also can't wait to read or not read is too see if Mike Wise, or the other beat writers for the Caps even mention it.

Plus, we also know about the diary Big Ted keeps on USA today. I would like to see if he add anything to his piece about HIS fans. It will be an interesting read to say the least since he has ripped Philly fans as well.

I know if this happened in Philly this would be all over the blog site by now, along with all the papers.

What I do know is that this is a great place to blog. We don't always have to agree with each other's points. I know I won't because it's just the way it is. Although I enjoy reading the personal attacks, half of them are classless to say the least. When we all blog we need to come into this type of forum with an open mind because if we don't we get a bunch of troll like posts.

Actually it was a pizza box that hit Carts in the head. After hearing so much about how Philly's fans are classless and horrible, I was very dissapointed to see such a horrible display from the normally passive and wonderfully behaved caps fans. They should be verry ashamed of themselves. I'm sure they think we stole the game from them with those horrible penalty calls and non-calls (sarcasm inserted here), but they need to get over it. They have a very bright future down there and should learn how to enjoy it with a little bit more class.

Thank you, I just saw something flying and then it crashed into Carter's head. He was upset to say the least. Oh and don't forget Habs fans for having a riot after their win.

yeah...honestly i'm less concerned about the Habs and more concerned about their fans...act like you've never won a series...a game one series...against the eigth place team...in 7 games...seriously?As for Caps fans...thanks for disproving Wise's pathetic excuse for journalism...honestly Philly fans would have just left pissed off at the FLYERS for blowing it...save your trash throwing for Poti...we only throw hats on the ice...LET'S GO FLYERS!

I was at the game and was also appalled at the trash throwing, there is no excuse for it. I am glad to see that the Flyers players stayed out there for the hand shake at the end because I wouldn't have been shocked if they didn't for their own safety. As far as the Habs going to 7 games against the Bruins...they are the most bitter rivalry in the NHL and playoff series between the two are always tough. They have had 7 game 7's in their 31 playoff matchups. Can't wait for Thursday night, good luck Flyers fans, it's going to be a good one.

Will people quit their bitching!!??!! We won, be happy, stop trying to find things to complain about. Everything is going to be one sided. Caps people will say we suck and they can do no wrong. Flyers people will say we are holier than thou. No one will ever agree. Be happy we won, bring on the Habs, that is what we should be talking about. PHI1671 THIS IS NOT an attack against you by any means. I am just talking in general. The last week or two it has just been people complaining about other fans, teams, etc. Maybe I am just not used to the whole blog thing.

No problem Szandor. The day after everything, it's nice to read the comments of people. I just put a blog out there to get other people's opinion, not a bunch of bashing. You make a great point about you might not be used to the whole blog thing. That could be said in truth by a lot of other people as well.

Carter was hit with a beer bottle during a live interview on Philly's Comcast Sportsnet. Lupul had a pizza box on him when he was celebrating. BFD, it happens. Now, the Caps are in the rearview and any negativity I have to them or their fans is gone.

I'm afraid that waiting for either the media to report on what classless, knuckle dragging slobs the fans were or any commentary that suggests that the Flyers might have actually outplayed the Caps over the course of the series is sorta like trying to teach a pig to sing..............it's a waste of time.....and annoys the pig

JS...you know this as much as I do...your saying BFD, it happens but it should not happen. This is what drags our favorite sport down. But, yes the first round is now over and it's time to move to Montreal who had there own little riot after they WON.

no one got hurt but the habs/caps fans for disgracing the sport and their teams.rd 2 begins tomorrow night and the flyers will be buzzing with confidence....

Well said phi1671. I post my comments as my honest opinions as a hockey fan. Not a bitter Sabres fan. Not a Philly hater. I haven't seen it (switched to CBC for the SJ/Cal game), but from what I'm hearing the Caps fans should be ashamed. Any and all behavior like that by "fans" is unacceptable. BFD? Yes. It should not happen. Period. I feel like I've been repeating myself all day. I for one am looking forward to 4 more great series. I'd much rather have to comment on great plays than classless fans and bad officiating.

The Caps and the building are upset. Here is an article link http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/23/AR2008042303234.html?sub=AR
