This isn't sarcasm. I truly am a Penguins fan congratulating my hated rivals. The Flyers had a good season and they battled hard in the playoffs. They deserved far better than a first round playoff exit.

I hope Martin Biron stays in net next year, and that they can at least keep their blue line intact. Flyer fans may disagree with me, but I think that a little stability in net is going to go a long way to build this team into a cup championship. What does Philadelphia have to lose? It's only been 34 years since they won the cup! And only 12 since they last saw a cup final! Sorry to bring that up guys, but a little consistancy and stability will go a long way in this post-lockout league.

Overall this is one of the better playoff series I have been able to witness. It was intense from the opening faceoff, and it never let up. Both teams stepped up to the challenge, and both teams deserved to advance.

I look forward to next season and meeting the Flyers once again in the playoffs. It is sure to be a battle once again.

Its gonna be great listening to the Flyers fans talk about how Richards and Carter are all time great players and watching them NEVER get by the Sid and Geno show. Nothing made my week more than watching SID hit the empty net in front of all those fans....he came to play yesterday..."Crosby sucks!! Crosby sucks!!! Crosby sucks..".......yeah...he sure doesnah nah nah nahnah nah nah nahhey hey hey...good bye

It really sucks that this post is pretty much ruined by thunder's comment...Thanks for the recognition of the Flyers Bryan

the flyers need a center to physically match up w/ crosby/malkin or we will be like the dodgers were to the yankees for the next decade.

Great series as painful as it was to watch how it ended. Flyers need to resign Marty and get a monster for the blue line....the core for a cup contending team is in place! Congrats to the Pens....they truly earmed it, honestly! Can't help but say, I have never seen as dirty a player as Malkin get away with all the crap that he is allowed....oh well, thats the way the puck rolls!

Classy post. As a Flyers fan, I agree with you. Congrats on the victory and good luck moving on. Fluery was the difference in the series. Malkin and Crosby really only dominated in Game 1 and half of Game 6.

I agree with you Flyer, Malkin got away with some stuff. But so did Richards and your Flyers. There were plenty of questionable calls and no calls going both ways.

ah....the Pens won because the refs let Malkin get away with stuff....and Bettman wants Crosby in the finals....

Thunder, people like you are the reason everyone hates Pens fans. The only biased posts here are yours...get a life.
