The Thrashers have had some shotty goaltending in the early half of the regular season with people doubting the teams goalies. Then Atlanta's main man Kari was sidelined with back issues and then came another question. Could the man known as "Moose" get, and keep this team on track? Well, after a month of continous pressure on the veteran, he ended up with a record that most fans did not like.

Yes, they had a stud who could've been called up in Ondrej Pavelec. And yes, they could've traded for a sturdier backup but no, Don stayed still, putting all his trust into the two goalies who started the season. Both men won a little, but also lost a little but once the pressure was off, the two goalies turned on, or at least Kari.

He stepped his game up, setting very good percentages and making Thrasher fans jump up and down. Lehtonen has still continued this play, as of today (March 18...), he has been 6 - 1 - 0 in their last 7. Now, even though this recent play has made fans happy, it's made DW's job even harder.

There are 3 goalies. Kari Lehtonen, Ondrej Pavelec and Johan Hedberg. One man has played the best in the NHL in Kari, one hasnt impressed in the handful of games he's played in Johan and a stud who's been "good" and who looks well, a little promising at least.

So what do the Thrashers do in the summer. Do they package the young and feisty Pavelec to fill some holes in the top six? Or do they keep Pavelec down and keep the lineup how its been for a while? Then there is option number three. They trade one of their top two goaltenders (Hedberg / Lehtonen) for a top six forward or a top four defenseman.

What do I think we do come the draft or July 1st? Well, I think we're going to end up trading Mr. Pavelec (along with a few other players...) for a forward that can help us in the long run. Now, it's your turn! What d the Thrash do with their goalies come summer time?
