So I just woke up with my son at about ten to five this morning. The luxury of having a 11 month old lol. Anyways decided to jump on here to see if I can get people's opinions with the sedins gone, With Camalerri gone, With Nash gone what comes next.... Is it time the leafs overpay to get a franchise player. I dont think they would consider moving there 2010 1st rnd pick but they may consider moving there 2011 first round pick along with Tomas Kaberle and some other stuff if its going to bring us something up front. The Future looks very bleak up front for the Leafs in terms of people they can aqquire via trade or FA...Is it too much to ask a guys like Bozak and Hanson to be a impact players in there first season? Is it too much to ask Grabovski and Kulemin to do alot more than what they did in there rookie season ? Is Jiri Tlusty's point per game avg in the AHL a indication he's NHL ready ? Are guys like Stefanovich,Didomenico,Mitchell, and Kadri even close to NHL ready ? I am personally under belief that the leafs need more then just one impact forward. They need it least 2 of them who are not old! I guess kolvachuck is still out there for next Fa season right ? or will he get snatched up much in the same way Nash did?

Personally I would still like to see something come of the Phil Kessel - Tomas Kaberle thing. Then maybe sign a top 6 forward through FA there still a few guys out there ... Or piece together a trade that involves Stajan and specs or pics or something .... or take on abit of a bad contract....

Also here is the top fa's available for 2010 who havent signed yet I shutter when I see this list and the lack of talent on there unless loulongo is available or kovlachuck... what do all of you think ???

Kovalchuk 27

Of course Kovalchuk is the cream of this crop, but I wouldn't mind Marc Savard either. Granted, he is a little older, but with his point production being as it was over the past several seasons, he would be a very useful addition. Who knows, you may luck out and reunite the old thrasher teamates...pipe dream...I know!

I like Frolow as he is still relatively young. It is too bad about Columbus signing Nash, I figured for sure he would be the superstar we're waiting for. In the end I think that the Leafs rebuild process will be more drawn out than originally expected. They may end up signing Pronger (short term) next year. He'd be a great veteran presence but it may be pointless if the buds aren't ready to compete
